The Hill Home is an experimental take on a modular home. Designed so individual parts can be loaded and transported via transport truck. With a minimalist footprint, the Hill Home is designed to be integrated with its surrounding environment. Live walls and roofs allow for an insulated structure while replacing foliage lost due to the footprint. To further integrate the landscape into the design, patio doors open into the surrounding terrain.
Thanks to its modular nature, additions can be added to either side of the structure. Solar panels provide essential power for the unit; panels can be combined to create a solar farm that can serve multiple units. With the additional exploration of water collection systems, a balance can be achieved without harmful effects to the environment.
